KYOTO<\/h3>\n

Osaka, the closest port to Kyoto, is only 48 hours away by crossing the Shanghai estuary. I imagine that during his long stay in China while waiting for his trial to take place, Louis-Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my went to Japan. In fact, the end of the \"Tokugawa Shogunate\" meant the beginning of the country's opening to the outside world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon arriving at the port of Osaka, Louis-Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my marveled at the magnificent castle, which had finally been restored a few years earlier after a long period of neglect<\/span><\/p>\n

Nowadays, Kyoto is at only30 minutes by train from Osaka. Since time immemorial, the city has been renowned for its beauty and gentle way of life.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
